I like to share my immigration experience with our fellow Chinese. I am a Ph.D. candidate in Chemistry. A couple of weeks ago, I got the approval from INS by using the category “Outstanding Researcher”. I feel Outstanding Researcher is a better and faster way than National Interest Waiver because it is a higher preference (the second preference). (Actually, the first preference, by immigration association) INS is not that picky on job-offer if you are filing under this category. In July, I contacted Immigration Association. They provide a computer software about immigration at very minimum cost. The software covers in detail the subjects like what is the best category for you, how to apply, how to collect evidences. I followed the instructions and applied myself. You really don't need to spend $3000 attorney fee. It only cost me $35. I filed my petition to Northern Service Center, Lincoln, Nebraska and got the approval in 40 days. My advisor doesn't even know the process except provided a recommendation letter. Immigration is really not that complicated as you might think. I hope my experience can provide useful information for the Chinese community here.

My experience with immigration is pain. About a year ago, I filed for National Interests Waiver with the help of a lawyer. In February, I got a letter from INS asking for more evidences to prove I can qualify for NIW. Oh, god, I already submitted all the documents I had. My lawyer didn't know what to do. I consulted a very famous at a very very big cost. He made me even more frustrated. I searched the web spent countless hours. Didn't get an answer. I decided give your product a try in desperate.
